Terms of Service & Terms of Use
The rules that govern this website and the work we do on your garage door. Short version: prices on this site are estimates until a technician confirms them on site in writing, and that written price is what governs.
Last updated: August 18, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of www.trueliftgaragedoors.com (the “Site”) and the services provided by True Lift Garage Door (“True Lift,” “we,” “us” or “our”). By using the Site or booking service with us, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Site.
1. Use of this website
The Site is provided for general information about our services and to let you request an estimate or appointment. You agree to use it only for lawful purposes and not to:
- Submit false, misleading or fraudulent contact or service information.
- Scrape, harvest, mirror or systematically copy Site content, including for the purpose of building a competing website.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its servers or any connected system, or interfere with its operation.
- Use automated tools to submit forms or generate service requests.
All content on the Site — text, layout, graphics, logos, the True Lift Garage Door name and mark — is our property or used with permission and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may view, print and share pages for your own non-commercial use. You may not republish substantial portions of the content without written permission.
2. Information on this site is general, not a guarantee
Every page here — service descriptions, diagnostic guidance, safety advice, maintenance tips — is general information about garage doors and is not a professional diagnosis of your specific door. Doors, springs, openers and installations differ, and only a technician who has inspected your system can tell you what it needs.
Safety: nothing on this Site should be read as an instruction to perform repairs yourself. We specifically and repeatedly warn against attempting torsion spring, cable, drum or bottom-bracket work. Those components hold enough stored energy to cause serious injury. If you choose to work on your own door, you do so entirely at your own risk.
3. Estimates, quotes and pricing
This is the section worth reading carefully.
- Prices published on this Site are typical St. Louis-area ranges, not offers. They reflect what jobs commonly cost as of 2026 and vary with door size and weight, spring cycle rating, hardware condition, access and parts availability.
- Phone and online estimates are non-binding. A range given over the phone, by text, by email or through a form is a good-faith preliminary figure based on your description. It is not a contract, not an offer capable of acceptance, and not a guaranteed price.
- A binding price exists only when a True Lift technician has inspected the door on site and you have approved a written, itemized quote. That written on-site quote supersedes anything said earlier by anyone, including any range published on this Site.
- Changed conditions. If, after work begins, we find something that could not reasonably have been seen during the inspection — hidden structural damage, a failed header, rotted jambs, a discontinued part, undisclosed prior repairs — we stop, show you what we found, and give you a revised written quote. Work does not continue until you approve it.
- Written quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise, and are subject to change if manufacturer pricing or material costs change materially within that window.
- Diagnostic fee. A diagnostic fee applies to repair service calls and is waived in full when you approve the repair on that visit. Estimates on new garage door installations are free.
- Coupons and discounts must be mentioned at the time of booking, cannot be applied after work is completed, do not stack with one another, and are subject to the conditions printed with each offer.
4. Scheduling, access and cancellation
- We schedule in two-hour arrival windows. Traffic, weather, emergency calls and jobs that run long can affect timing; we will contact you if a window changes.
- You are responsible for providing safe access to the garage — clearing vehicles and stored items from the work area, securing pets, and providing gate or entry codes. If the technician cannot access or safely work on the door, the diagnostic fee may still apply.
- Cancellation of a service appointment: free at any time before the technician is dispatched. Please call as early as you can so the slot can go to another customer.
- Failed appointments: if nobody is present and the door cannot be accessed at the scheduled time, we may charge the diagnostic fee for the trip.
- Installation orders: garage doors are ordered to your opening, size, style and color. Once a custom or special-order door has been placed with the manufacturer, the deposit is non-refundable to the extent of costs already incurred. Cancellations before the order is placed are refunded in full.
- Weather and safety: we may reschedule outdoor installation work in severe weather, lightning, or unsafe conditions. We will rebook at the earliest available window at no additional charge.
5. Warranty summary
The controlling warranty for your job is the one printed on your invoice. This section is a plain-English summary and does not replace it.
- Labor. Our workmanship is warranted for the term stated on your invoice. If a repair we performed fails because of how it was performed, we return and correct it at no charge.
- Parts we supply. Parts installed by us are warranted for the term stated on your invoice. Manufacturer warranties on doors and openers are separate, are registered in your name at installation, and are administered by the manufacturer under their own terms.
- What the warranty does not cover: damage from impact (including vehicles), storms, hail, flooding, fire, vandalism or attempted forced entry; damage from operating a door that is broken, off-track, unbalanced or iced to the slab; work performed on the door by you or any other contractor after our visit; normal wear on consumable items such as weatherstripping and bottom seals; rust or corrosion caused by standing water or chemical exposure; and parts you supplied yourself.
- Customer-supplied parts. If you ask us to install a part you purchased, we will normally do so, but we cannot warrant that part or any consequential failure caused by it. Labor-only terms apply.
- Transferability. Warranties are extended to the customer named on the invoice at the service address and are not transferable unless stated otherwise in writing.
- Making a claim. Call (314) 885-9565 with your invoice number. We will schedule a warranty visit at no charge for covered items. If the visit shows the issue is not covered, standard rates apply and we will tell you before doing any billable work.
6. Payment terms
- Payment for repair work is due on completion, once the door has been cycled and the safety tests performed in your presence.
- We accept cash, check, Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.
- Installation projects require a deposit at the time the door is ordered, with the balance due on completion.
- Commercial and property-management accounts may be invoiced on approved terms; unless agreed otherwise in writing, invoices are net 30.
- Past-due balances may accrue a service charge at the maximum rate permitted by Missouri law, and you agree to pay reasonable costs of collection, including attorney fees, on accounts placed for collection.
- Returned checks are subject to a fee to the extent permitted by law.
- We reserve the right to file a mechanic’s lien as permitted by Missouri law on unpaid work.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Missouri law:
- The Site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components.
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost business, loss of use, or property damage not directly caused by our negligence, arising from your use of the Site or from services provided.
- Except where prohibited by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to a particular job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.
- Nothing in these Terms limits liability for personal injury or property damage caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any liability that cannot lawfully be limited. We carry general liability and workers’ compensation insurance; a certificate is available on request.
- Pre-existing conditions. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage or code deficiencies we did not create — including deteriorated framing, jambs, headers, drywall, electrical wiring or slab conditions — though we will document what we find and tell you about it.
- Force majeure. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, supply chain disruption, manufacturer delays, labor actions, utility failures or government action.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless True Lift Garage Door, its owners and employees from claims arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Site, or your instruction to us to perform work you were not authorized to authorize on a property you do not own or control.
9. Third-party links and content
The Site may link to third-party websites — manufacturers, review platforms, mapping services, financing partners. We do not control those sites, do not endorse their content, and are not responsible for their practices. Your use of them is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
10. Privacy, calls and text messages
Our handling of your information — including SMS and TCPA consent, cookies, analytics and call tracking — is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Submitting a form or giving us your phone number constitutes consent to be contacted about your request; consent is not a condition of purchase, and you may reply STOP to any text to opt out.
11. Dispute resolution
If something goes wrong, contact us first. Call (314) 885-9565 or email service@trueliftgaragedoors.com and describe the problem. The overwhelming majority of disputes in this trade are resolved by a return visit, and we would rather do that than argue. You agree to give us a reasonable opportunity to inspect and cure before pursuing any other remedy.
12. Governing law and venue
These Terms and any dispute arising from them or from services we provide are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. You and True Lift Garage Door agree that the exclusive venue for any action shall be the state or federal courts located in St. Louis County, Missouri, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
13. Severability, waiver and entire agreement
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms, together with your signed or approved written work order and invoice, constitute the entire agreement between us regarding the work performed and supersede prior discussions, phone estimates and Site content.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always posted here with a “Last updated” date. The version in effect on the date you approved your written quote governs that job.
